• Deserves Effort, Even From Me : Because I got tired of giving everybody else my best and saving me for last.
    2025/10/24

You ever realize how easy it is to show up for everyone else and how hard it can be to show up for you?

In this week’s episode, I’m talking about the moment I stopped waiting for someone else to pour into me, and learned how to pour back into myself. From folding everybody’s clothes to letting the kids handle their own, from late-night dinners alone to rediscovering peace in silence this is the part of my journey where effort became sacred.

It’s not about being selfish. It’s about being intentional.

I’m learning that I don’t need a reason to make something special… I am the reason.

So tonight, we’re slowing down, filling our own cups, and remembering: she deserves effort even from me.

💭 Reflection moment: When’s the last time you made a moment just for you?

🎧 Next week on Becoming: We’re talking about what it means to be handled with care — not rushed, not poured out for everyone, but intentional.

    2025/10/03

In this episode, I share the weight of the names I inherited and married into — the expectations, the pressure, the invisible load. And I share what it meant to finally choose La’Joy — the name that feels like home, the name that reminds me not to let myself down.

This one is personal. It’s about postpartum, silent battles, and the glow that only comes from growth.

  • You Ain’t Healed… You Just Ain’t Said Nothing
    2025/09/12

Sometimes silence gets mistaken for healing. But unspoken grief, friendship breakups, and the envy nobody admits out loud? That silence can wound deeper than words ever could. In this episode, I open up about losing my ex–best friend, what it really felt like when claps turned into comparisons, and how displaced trust left me grieving in ways I didn’t even have language for.

This isn’t just about friendship—it’s about peace, envy, and the courage to finally say what’s been sitting on your chest. Because healing doesn’t happen in hush tones; it happens when we tell the truth.

💭 Tune in as I unpack the wounds that came too close to home and the freedom that came with naming them.
