    Jesse and Em sit down with some truly iconic New York Gooners to hype up this PL opening weekend blockbuster fixture between two juggernauts: Manchester United and Arsenal Football Club.


    Joining us on the pod today we have Jason Andrew and Howard Grandison, co-founders of the Arsenal Ultras group Brooklyn Invincibles, known for their Brooklyn watch parties, and their friendship with Spike Lee. Also joining us despite his hangover is our very own Adrian Salonga, long-time Banter Super League groupchat member, and even longer-time LES football organizer. A man of the people who removes sponsor logos from his jerseys for semi-political reasons, Adrian showed up for us when the podcast actually made it out of the groupchat.

    Coming to you from the heart of Astoria, New York City, this is the Banter Super League, an independently produced video podcast all about the art of banter in football-- or for you uncultured swine out there, soccer. Co-hosted by Jesse Moritz and Emir Deljanin.


    For now, we'll be focusing primarily on the "big six" premier league clubs: Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Tottenham Hotspur. But we will touch on all things football, while also occasionally dabbling in broader topics within sports, culture, and New York City.


    We're hosting our first event (of many), which is a watch party for the Man United vs. Arsenal game, this Sunday, August 17th at Clara's Bushwick. We'll have an open bar available, and it's going to be an absolutely classic opening match for the upcoming season of both the Premier League, and the Banter Super League.
