Our Christmas Patreon-exclusive episode goes back to an 80s nostalgia classic, Gremlins, which follows young Billy Peltzer, who receives an adorable, wide-eyed creature called a Mogwai—complete with three extremely reasonable care instructions he immediately fails to follow. When those rules are broken, the Mogwai multiply and transform into a horde of gleefully destructive gremlins who treat Billy’s small town like their personal theme park of chaos. What starts as a cozy Christmas gift quickly turns into a battle against tiny, cackling agents of mayhem, forcing Billy and his friends to outsmart creatures wreaking havoc in Pennsylvania.

In this final episode of The Book of Boba Fett, “In the Name of Honor,” the Pyke Syndicate wages war on Boba Fett’s forces in Mos Espa, but Boba’s got backup: Din Djarin, the Mods, Black Krrsantan, and a very dramatic rancor entrance. There’s blaster fire, explosions, and a showdown with Cad Bane that ends with Boba proving old-school Tusken skills still work best. And just when things look grim, Grogu shows up to tame a rampaging rancor like it’s a sleepy puppy. The Pykes are ultimately driven out, solidifying Boba’s control over the city and bringing the conflict to an end.

It took Whitney and Derrick a year to convince Jack to see this movie, and once he did, he was hooked. VIOLENT NIGHT is a Christmas action comedy starring David Harbour and John Leguizamo. David Harbour plays Santa Claus, who used to be a Viking, apparently, and he has to save a little girl and her family from a group of terrorists led by John Leguizamo, who take them hostage. It's violent (duh), bloody, and hilarious, and we're talking all about it!

In this episode, the second of The Mandalorian’s unofficial season 2.5, Din Djarin visits Grogu, and accidentally walks in on Jedi daycare run by Luke Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano. He ultimately decides not to interrupt the youngling’s path while Luke and Ahsoka Tano discuss Grogu’s future. While Grogu is busy leveling up in frog levitation, trouble brews back on Tatooine. Cad Bane saunters into the newly christened Freetown like a dusty gunslinger, encountering Cobb Vanth and warning the town to stay out of the coming war. The confrontation ends with Cad Bane shooting Vanth, escalating tensions before the showdown with the Pyke Syndicate.

This supersized episode, celebrating our 3rd anniversary, revisits our second-ever episode as we discuss Cool as Ice! It follows Johnny, a mysteriously chill biker played by Vanilla Ice, whose strangely cinephile-related wardrobe alone could cause seizures. When his crew gets stranded in a small town, Johnny zeroes in on honor-student Kathy, whose life is about as rebellious as vanilla ice cream. Chaos, romance, and a lot of early-’90s fashion choices ensue as Johnny tries to win her over and help her family out of trouble, proving that sometimes the coolest thing you can do is show up, perform a guerrilla-style rap show, and say “lose the zero and get with the hero” with complete sincerity. We go way off the rails, but hey, it's a party, folks!

We're kicking off season 2.5 of The Mandalorian smack dab in the middle of The Book of Boba Fett with Chapter 5: The Return of the Mandalorian! Chapter 5 of The Book of Boba Fett, “Return of the Mandalorian,” could easily be retitled “Meanwhile, in Din Djarin’s Show…” because Boba takes the week off. After completing a bounty, he reunites with the Armorer and learns more about the Darksaber but is exiled from his covert for removing his helmet, and then trades in his old ship for a souped-up starfighter with a surprisingly nice paint job. Finally, Fennec Shand recruits him to aid Boba Fett in the upcoming conflict against the Pyke Syndicate.

Derrick's love for bad Lifetime movies and Eric Roberts has been well-documented, and this one is the third entry in the gloriously unhinged Lifetime thriller series starring Eric Roberts as the disturbingly charming Dr. Albert Beck. After narrowly escaping justice yet again, Beck becomes the target of his former victim Sophie, who sets out to expose and humiliate him. But the doctor isn’t one to take humiliation lying down, and soon the tables turn in a wild cycle of gaslighting, obsession, and melodrama. It’s a campy, twisted cat-and-mouse tale where revenge and romance collide, plus we get Dr. Beck going completely off the rails with hallucinations of himself as a laid-back island partier.
