  • The Third Bell of St. Elum's — Fexingo Horror
    2026/05/08
A cold November night in 2019. A small Appalachian town called Elum's Hollow, population three hundred and twelve. A backwoods church with a bell that rings three times at midnight—every night, without fail, for as long as anyone can remember. Luna hears the story from a woman named Martha, who came to Elum's Hollow seven years ago seeking quiet, and found something else instead. The bell rings once for the living. Twice for the dead. The third bell—that's the one nobody talks about. Martha tells Luna about the night she followed the sound into the woods behind the church, about the flicker of light between the pines, about the prayer she heard whispered in a language older than the town itself. She tells her about the man who walks the ridge with his collar turned up and his hands behind his back. And she tells her about the morning after, when the frost on her windowsill spelled out a word she has never spoken aloud. A slow-burn, atmospheric episode about faith, silence, and the things we pretend not to notice in the places we thought were safe.

  • The Steeple Bell of Coldwater — Fexingo Horror
    2026/05/07
In the winter of 1995, a traveling historian named Eleanor Vance arrived in Coldwater, Ohio, to catalog the archives of the town's First Methodist Church. The congregation had dwindled to a handful of elderly members, and the building itself was slated for demolition. Eleanor was hired by the county historical society to save what could be saved. But there were things the deacon didn't tell her—about the bell in the tower that rang of its own accord, about the name scratched into the oak pew, about the offering plate that sometimes filled itself with creek stones and wild mint. This is the story she told me over coffee at a truck stop, her hands still shaking, her eyes fixed on the dark window as if she expected something to tap on the glass. She said the church wasn't empty. It was waiting.

  • The Windbreak at Lost Creek — Fexingo Horror
    2026/05/06
In the autumn of 2021, just outside the town of Pinhook, Missouri, a farmer named Harlan Stout refused to let a stranger shelter in his windbreak. The windbreak was a half-mile wall of Osage orange trees his grandfather had planted in the 1930s, and it had stood firm against every storm for almost ninety years. But that night it wasn't sheltering anyone. Harlan told me the whole thing started with a smell—like wet dog and burnt sugar—and a sound that was something between a cough and a laugh. Over the next three days, the wall of trees began to move. Not swaying—shifting. Rows realigning themselves in the dark. By the third night, the trees had woven themselves into a shape that stood at the edge of his pasture. And it was holding something. This is a story about a kindness refused and a debt collected in saplings and shadow. It is also a story about a man who learned that some things grow in the places you least expect—and that the hardest wood has the longest memory.

  • The Bone-Rider of Crow Hill — Fexingo Horror
    2026/05/05
A fog-drenched October night in the hollows of Crow Hill, West Virginia, 1982. Luna's uncle, a utility lineman, finds a barefoot girl with hollow eyes sitting on a transformer box at the edge of a pasture. She has no name, no pulse, and a fine powder on her dress that smells like burnt marrow. He drives her to the county hospital, but the road keeps spitting him back to the same curve. The radio plays only static. And the girl begins to speak—not with her mouth, but through the hum of the power lines. A story about roads that remember the dead, and the things that follow linemen home.

  • The Pantry Door in Eden Falls — Fexingo Horror
    2026/05/04
A winter road trip through Pennsylvania farmland lands Luna at a diner in Eden Falls, where a bowl of soup and a locked pantry door unravel a story she can't shake. The waitress, Maggie, talks about her father's decline, a custom-built pantry he sealed himself inside, and the tapping that started three nights ago. Luna stays past closing, listens, and walks out into a blizzard with the sound of something testing the hinges from within. No gore. No jump scare. Just a woman alone in a cold car, wondering what you do with a story like that.

  • The Well at Parson's Ford — Fexingo Horror
    2026/05/03
Luna recalls a summer night in 2017 when her cousin Rachel called from a boarded-up farmhouse outside Parson's Ford, Pennsylvania. The property had been in their family since the 1830s, but no one had lived there for decades. Rachel was there to clean it out before the sale, but by midnight she was begging Luna to come. What Luna found in the cellar was not a body, not a ghost, but something that had been waiting in the well since before the house was built. This episode is about thirst, inheritance, and the things that get passed down through blood that have nothing to do with money.

  • The Salt Line on Route 9 — Fexingo Horror
    2026/05/02
Luna recalls a late autumn night in 2017 when she pulled over on a desolate stretch of Route 9 outside Manton, Ohio, to help an old woman whose car had broken down. The woman was not what she seemed, and the salt line Luna carried in her glovebox became the only thing between her and something that had been waiting a long time. A story about roadside kindness, old country magic, and the things that follow you home.
