  • The Permission to Be Too Much (And Why That's Your Superpower)
    2025/08/19

Everyone told me my quiz was too much. After creating what I called "one of the most epic quizzes the interwebs have ever seen" with detailed results pages that took months to develop, one person said it was "overwhelming, there was too much content there."

My inner child started screaming. "Maybe I should take some content away... maybe I'm being too much again." Even though we'd received incredible feedback, that one comment had me second-guessing everything.

But here's what I've learned…the world rewards us for following the status quo, for being the same-same, for not taking up too much space. And if you want to be a trailblazer, an innovator, someone who creates meaningful impact, you have to find the courage to go against the grain.

This episode is about those moments when you choose your fullest expression over fitting in, when you stop shrinking to make others comfortable. When you realize that innovation doesn't come from cookie-cutter content and following what everyone else in your industry is doing.

BY THE TIME YOU FINISH LISTENING TO THIS EPISODE, YOU'LL DISCOVER:

    • Why unfollowing everyone in your industry is the first step to creative breakthrough (and what type of content to consume instead that will expand your thinking beyond the same-same echo chamber).
    • The difference between "like-minded" people and "expanders" and why surrounding yourself with people who challenge your worldview is essential for innovation (even when it triggers the hell out of you).
    • How to recognize when you're caught in the high-achiever trap of constant consumption and doing, and the specific practice that allows insights and intuitive hits to actually come through.
    • The uncomfortable truth about putting yourself in rooms where you don't belong, and why the biohacking conference I'm attending (that has nothing to do with business) might be the most important investment I make this year.

  • Why I Shut Off My High-Performing Sales Funnel (After 2.5 Years of Success)
    2025/08/12

Everyone told me I was crazy. I had a funnel that performed exceptionally for 2.5 years, 80% show-up rates on sales calls, 6-8x return on ad spend, metrics people would die for. But I felt like I always had my foot on the gas, never able to truly step away.

My mentor kept showing me the data… "Kathryn, these numbers are exceptional!" But my system was screaming for something different.

This episode is about those threshold moments where you choose alignment over metrics, integrity over external validation. When you have the courage to walk away from what's "working" because it's no longer working for who you're becoming. Sometimes the most successful thing you can do is disappoint people who are invested in your old version of success.

BY THE TIME YOU FINISH LISTENING TO THIS EPISODE, YOU'LL DISCOVER:

    • The exact moment you know you're at a business threshold (and why ignoring this internal signal costs you more than any external metric could ever be worth).
    • How to recognize when you're making decisions from external pressure versus internal alignment and the specific questions I ask myself when faced with "but it's working" advice.
    • Why entrepreneurs get trapped in high-performance prisons of their own creation (and the courage required to redesign success around your actual values instead of industry standards).
    • The difference between process-driven and outcome-driven entrepreneurs, and how knowing your type prevents years of misaligned business building that leaves you successful but unfulfilled.

  • Why You Flinch When People Give You Feedback (And How to Stop)
    2025/08/05

When you're naturally a people-pleaser or perfectionist, it's so easy to flinch the moment someone gives you critical feedback. One complaint and suddenly you're questioning everything, ready to completely revamp your business to avoid future criticism.

I spent years turning myself inside out every time someone wasn't 100% satisfied. The constant bracing for complaints kept me in an exhausting state of reactivity.

So I developed a completely different approach to receiving feedback. One that helps you discern between valuable input and projection, while staying connected to what you know is true about your work. This episode shows that when you're grounded in your foundation, feedback doesn't have to shake you. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is listen without immediately jumping to fix everything.

BY THE TIME YOU FINISH LISTENING TO THIS EPISODE, YOU'LL DISCOVER:

    • How getting grounded in your foundation eliminates the reactive flinch that happens every time someone gives you feedback (and why people-pleasers are especially vulnerable to this pattern).
    • The exact moment someone says "this is overwhelming" or "I could just use ChatGPT" and the ONE shift in perspective that reveals whether their feedback is actually about your work or their own state.
    • The 3 hidden reasons behind critical feedback that have nothing to do with the quality of what you've created (spoiler: their stress levels and consumption patterns are huge factors).
    • What you need to STOP doing to finally create from your authentic vision instead of constantly reacting to market demands (this will feel uncomfortable if you're used to people-pleasing).
