    Higher education, its role in promoting social mobility, and a deconstruction of modern diversity, equity and inclusion from a career practitioner. 


    Timber Smith is a multifaceted professional who has dedicated his career to service, community, and the upliftment of diverse populations in various capacities. He is currently the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Coordinator for the City of Appleton, Special Assistant to the Mayor of Appleton, and Producer and Co-host for the City of Appleton’s Podcast, Appleton Engaged. In addition to his role in the public sector, Timber is the creator, producer, and host of THE KOSH Podcast, where he facilitates conversations with a diverse array of Oshkosh and Fox Cities community members and stakeholders.


    Prior to his current position, Timber served as the Veterans Resource Coordinator, an Admissions Counselor, and a Senior Equity Coordinator at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. He has also worked as the Cultural Retention and Recruitment Support Specialist for Appleton Area School District and Fox Valley Technical College. Timber's commitment to service extends beyond his professional roles, Timber has formerly served on the City of Oshkosh’s Diversity Committee and the UW Oshkosh Fox Cities Foundation Board of Directors. He currently serves on the board of directors for Celebrate Diversity Fox Cities and was recently voted onto the board of directors for The Building for Kids Children Museum in Appleton, WI.


    As Vice President of the Sigma Upsilon Lambda Alumni Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Timber is involved in promoting leadership development, academic excellence, and community service. He previously served in the Army Reserves and holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Timber's extensive leadership experience, service, and dedication to promoting DEI make him an asset to any organization or community.

Is an ordained minister for the Universal Foundation for Better Living. He is a keynote speaker and author of New Thought metaphysics and consciousness transformation.

  • An Actor's Life For Me with Adria Dawn

    Bryan hosts Emmy nominated multi-hyphenate, Adria Dawn to discuss the day to day life of working artist, the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, and the social impact of progressive creative development. 


    Adria Dawn is an Emmy nominated multi hyphenate who grew up in the Midwest, and broke into Hollywood working as a Levi's model. She is a filmmaker, actor, educator, and proud mama to an amazing fourteen year old.


    As a filmmaker, Adria is most known for her award-winning films for social change. Her series, Kids Matter, deals with contemporary issues our youth face today. The eighth episode of the series, Identity, deals with gender and inclusion and received a 2023 Chicago Emmy Nomination. Dawn has garnered three Telly Awards in two years for her social change films including her Black Lives Matter film Karen, and Gray Area, about Kelley Kitley's journey with alcohol addiction.  She operates Tarleton/Dawn Productions with her husband, partner and co-collaborator, David Tarleton. TDP is a boutique production company whose award winning projects include series, plays, music videos and films.


    As an actor, Adria has appeared on numerous television shows for FOX, CBS, NBC, Nickelodeon, the WB, etc. as well as appeared in many films. You may have seen her on Chicago Med, Nip/Tuck, My Name is Earl, Felicity, NCIS or Popular (as April Tuna) to name a few. Adria's decades long career includes a roster of acting credits that steadily expands, always adding memorable roles to her resume.


    As an educator, Adria private coaches actors, and taught at and toured colleges teaching on-camera acting and auditioning, and self management. She has taught at Acting Studio Chicago, Tarleton/Dawn Productions, The Performer's School and Columbia College Chicago, as well as many workshops across the United States and Europe. Currently she is teaching directing at Syracuse University in New York.

    Exploring the varying experiences of black queer men through the lens of professional health advocate and HIV activist, Paris Mullen. In this conversation we talk through Paris’ journey to becoming a fully realized queer man, how he has found community within the queer community, and how his diagnosis led him on a path to advocacy and promoting HIV allyship.


    Paris Mullen is a visionary leader who seeks to harness our collective community’s strengths and  vulnerabilities to achieve justice for marginalized communities, particularly in the healthcare  quality and access space. As a professional health advocate, he has built a broad network of  community partners, and leverages his program management expertise and advocacy skills to  engage and seek better outcomes for individuals living with HIV, and those whose lives have  been impacted by trauma. 


    Throughout his career, Paris has collaborated with a variety of organizations such as the Center  for Disease Control and Prevention, state health departments, the National Institutes of Health,  community-based organizations, and clinical research sites. He holds a Master of Science in  Health Communication from Northwestern University, and a Bachelor of Science in  Communication from Pacific Lutheran University. Paris lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
