このコンテンツについて

Exploring the varying experiences of black queer men through the lens of professional health advocate and HIV activist, Paris Mullen. In this conversation we talk through Paris’ journey to becoming a fully realized queer man, how he has found community within the queer community, and how his diagnosis led him on a path to advocacy and promoting HIV allyship.

Paris Mullen is a visionary leader who seeks to harness our collective community’s strengths and  vulnerabilities to achieve justice for marginalized communities, particularly in the healthcare  quality and access space. As a professional health advocate, he has built a broad network of  community partners, and leverages his program management expertise and advocacy skills to  engage and seek better outcomes for individuals living with HIV, and those whose lives have  been impacted by trauma.

Throughout his career, Paris has collaborated with a variety of organizations such as the Center  for Disease Control and Prevention, state health departments, the National Institutes of Health,  community-based organizations, and clinical research sites. He holds a Master of Science in  Health Communication from Northwestern University, and a Bachelor of Science in  Communication from Pacific Lutheran University. Paris lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
