Howdy all!
Today I'm embarking upon a NEW ECC miniseries with my friend through the book of faces, Mr. Benjamin Forney!
Mr. Forney is quite the autodidact and has graced me with a couple of essays he has penned on the topic of authority within social hierarchy.
Within this episode we get through roughly one third of his first essay, "In Defense of the Authoritarian Impulse". I have to say, I'm not easily impressed and I do not often find my own mindset and perspective so thoroughly and thoughtfully expressed.
I quite enjoyed our initial foray into his work. This will be a 2 to 3 part venture into his initial essay; after which we will delve into his second one. Which expounds upon the general topic.
I won't reveal much more upon the topic, but I will lead with this quote of his: "If violence is not solving all of your problems, you aren't using enough of it. Then again, there are often more efficient ways to solve problems, than brute force."
Don't forget to check out our other platforms for listening at our website EclecticChitChat.com!! ENJOY
