April 6, 2025 Sermon - Straining Toward The Goal

  • サマリー

  • This Sunday's Inspirational Message is:

    Straining Toward The Goal

Today’s message comes from Philippians 3:12–21, a section of Scripture that is full of urgency, direction, and deep encouragement. The Apostle Paul is writing here from a Roman prison cell, but don’t picture a man who’s given up. This isn’t the voice of someone defeated by the world. It’s the heart cry of a man whose eyes are fixed on heaven, and whose feet are still pounding the pavement of faith.

Let me ask you something—Have you ever felt like you're just trying to keep up? Like life is pulling you in a dozen directions, and spiritually, you’re not where you thought you’d be by now? Maybe you’re battling discouragement, or you feel stuck in the past, wondering if God could still use you.

In today’s message, we’ll walk through five key truths from Philippians 3. You’ll hear Paul say, “I haven’t arrived, but I press on.” We’ll talk about how to keep moving forward when life weighs heavy, how to let go of both past regrets and even past victories, and how to live with a mindset that reflects where our true citizenship lies—in heaven, not here.

We’ll see how Paul’s call isn’t about polishing ourselves into perfection—it’s about pursuing Christ with resolve. It’s about walking together as a church family, refusing to settle for the distractions of this world, and living with our eyes on the glorious hope that Jesus is coming again.

Once again, thanks for joining us in our time of worshiping the Lord through His Word!
