Are you a self-published Christian author who wants to grow a profitable author business without losing sight of God in the process?

Anointed Scribe™ equips and encourages indie Christian authors to grow their faith and build a profitable author business through biblical wisdom and practical author-business strategies.

I’m Urcelia Teixeira, a bestselling, award-winning Christian fiction author and founder of Anointed Scribe™. I know what it feels like to chase book sales, rankings, marketing strategies and the next thing the author world says you need, only to end up tired, discouraged and wondering whether you’re still building the business God asked you to build.

Each week, we take the real decisions Christian authors face and bring them under the light of Scripture. We talk about book marketing, book sales, author income, email lists, advertising, social media, author platforms, productivity and sustainable business growth. We also deal with what sits underneath those decisions: comparison, fear, ambition, burnout, calling, money, motives, discouragement and the pull toward striving.

You’ll get biblical teaching that reaches the heart alongside practical tools and strategies you can use in your author business.

This is not a writing-craft podcast or a step-by-step guide to setting up a KDP account. It’s for self-published Christian authors who want to reach more readers, sell more books, make wise business decisions and pursue profit without allowing money, numbers or industry pressure to take God’s place.

If you want to grow your faith and build a profitable author business with Christ at the center, you’re in the right place.

Follow Anointed Scribe™, and let’s grow your faith and build a profitable author business, God’s way.

  • 101 | Does God Promise Success to Christian Authors? What Scripture Actually Says
    2026/10/23

You've prayed over your book launch, worked hard to market your books, and done your best to honor God through your writing. But when you check your KDP dashboard, the sales are still disappointing.

And perhaps you've wondered, If I'm being faithful to God, why isn't He blessing my author business?

After all, doesn't Scripture promise that God will prosper the work of our hands? That He has plans to prosper us? And that when we seek His kingdom first, He'll provide everything we need?

But are we understanding those promises correctly?

In this episode of The Anointed Scribe Podcast, we're digging into what the Bible actually teaches about prosperity, God's promises, financial provision, and the relationship between obedience and success.

Together, we'll examine several familiar passages of Scripture, including Jeremiah 29:11, Psalm 1, and Matthew 6:33, to understand what God was saying in their original context and how those truths apply to us as Christian authors today.

We'll also explore why disappointing book sales don't necessarily mean God is withholding His blessing, how our expectations can influence our business decisions, and what it means to pursue profitability while remaining faithful to His Word.

If you've ever questioned God's faithfulness because your author business isn't growing the way you'd hoped, I hope you'll join me for this important conversation.

Because understanding what God actually promises, and what He doesn't, can change the way you approach your writing, your business, and your relationship with Him.

  • 100 | 5 Biblical Habits That Changed My Struggling Christian Author Business
    2026/10/16

I still remember the days I checked my KDP dashboard with a knot in my stomach, compared my progress with other authors, and wondered whether my Christian author business would ever earn enough to help support my family.

So when I sat down to plan this special 100th episode, I thought I'd share my best book marketing strategies and the lessons I've learned from eight years of self-publishing. But the more I worked on that list, the more I realized I was leaving out the most valuable advice I could give you.

Because some of the hardest lessons I've learned as a Christian author came from the times I allowed the pressure to succeed, earn more money, and keep up with the publishing industry to distract me from God.

And I paid for it in more ways than one.

In this milestone episode, I'm sharing five biblical habits that changed the way I approach my writing, make business decisions, and pursue profitability while keeping Christ at the center of it all.

I'll share what those difficult seasons taught me, how these habits have shaped my relationship with God and my author business, and why I believe they deserve a place in your life, regardless of how many books you've published or how much you're earning.

If you've been questioning your progress, struggling to stay motivated, or wondering whether all your hard work will ever pay off, I hope you'll join me for this conversation.

After 100 episodes, this is the advice I most want to leave you with.
