The Animal Party starts with a bit of water-bowl talk covering the most explosive animal related news highlights and issues. Deborah gives her opinion along with the facts and stats you want to know to make up your own mind. Do you believe in allowing cats outdoors? What about removing their claws?     Deb Wolfe reads a text complaining about a reactive dog at the farmers' market making other dogs anxious.     In the UK beavers are being reintroduced as part of a 'rewild' program that is working perfectly. Deb Wolfe reports on two bear attacks yesterday and the need to never feed wildlife near your home or places people play. Fruit trees, garbage and intentional feeding are part of the problem that makes a 'fed bear a dead bear' but also a dangerous bear.

    Right now, there are terrible fires and if you are being evacuated in British Columbia and need a place for your social vaccinated dog please call us at 604-515-2267 and leave a message and we will receive your dog at 9-930 am or 5-530 pm for boarding at half price for as long as you need us at Camp Good Dog. Your dog can get out of the smoke, and into a place set up for dogs with five acres of fenced fields and pond and friendly staff to pamper and help them get over the evacuation and fire trauma. If you are fleeing the fires please leave water out for displaced pets, livestock and wildlife who may be passing through to escape the smoke and flames.

    Did you ever plan a vacation only to arrive to rules that state your dog is too big or not allowed or must be on short leash and with you at all times? Even in the ocean? Well that's not how fetch works with a wet human and the dog can't move more than 3 feet. Tofino has changed so if you are going there maybe you want to leave your dog at home.

    Before you travel with your dog , De Wolfe recommends you research every detail. The problem with bad dog owners is they don't obey rules like don't let dogs chase nesting birds or avoid the wolf - conflict area with prey type dogs so then the Rangers make stricter rules and then the beach literally goes to the wolves. Wildfires erupt in Canada (and Washington State) and Canada sends firefighters to Colorado this year and many places world-wide when needed. Now we are very grateful for the help from Mexico! Thank you , Gracias to Mexico for sending firefighting teams. Mexico is also in the news for recovering Jaguar numbers and Florida passes a law prohibiting anyone convicted of animal abuse from ever owning an animal again plus more good news animal news stories.
