  • Build Your Adventure Crew: Choose Adventure Mindset™ Step 5
    2026/03/31

One of the most important things I have learned in every season of change is that no one builds their next chapter alone.

In the Choose Adventure Mindset™, I call this building your Adventure Crew — the people who support you, challenge you, encourage you, and remind you who you are when you forget.

This is the fifth step in the Choose Adventure Mindset™, a five-step framework for navigating change.

    Watch the series on YouTube.

In this episode, we talk about:

    • Why community matters in seasons of change
    • How to find your Adventure Crew
    • How to build support as you build what’s next
    • Why this matters in leadership, life, and career transitions

  • Trust and Momentum: Choose Adventure Mindset™ Step 4
    2026/03/31

Most people think confidence comes first and then you take the step. But what I have seen, over and over again, is that confidence comes from taking the step.

In the Choose Adventure Mindset™, I call this Trust + Momentum. You take a step, then another step, and over time you build momentum. And when you’re in motion, you start to notice the small synchronicities that remind you that you are moving in the right direction.

This is the fourth step in the Choose Adventure Mindset™, a five-step framework for navigating change.

Watch the full series on YouTube.

In this episode, we talk about:

    • Why small steps create momentum
    • How confidence is built over time
    • How to pay attention to the synchronicities that happen when you trust the process and show up

  • Reframing Fear as Curiosity: Choose Adventure Mindset™ Step 3
    2026/03/31

Fear shows up any time you are doing something new, stepping into a new role at work, entering a new season of life. It also shows up when something is important to us.

In the Choose Adventure Mindset™, we don’t see fear as a stop sign. We reframe fear as curiosity. Curiosity helps you take the next step, even when you don’t have the full plan.

This is the third step in the Choose Adventure Mindset™, a five-step framework for navigating change.

Watch the full series on YouTube.

In this episode, we talk about:

    • How embracing the same mindset as we travel can shift our perspective
    • How to reframe fear as curiosity
    • Why small brave steps build confidence

  • Create Space for the Nudge | Choose Adventure Mindset™ Step 1
    2026/03/31

That feeling is what I call the quiet nudge. Seasons of change often don’t begin with a big plan. They begin with a feeling that something is shifting and it’s time to start paying attention.

This is the beginning of the Choose Adventure Mindset™, a five-step framework for navigating change.

In this episode, we talk about:

    • How to recognize the quiet nudge
    • Why seasons of change often begin with a feeling, not a plan
    • Why adventure is for everyone
    • Why the first step is simply to notice and start listening for what’s next

  • Beyond the Boardroom: Erik Blachford on Adventure, Change, and Resilience
    2025/06/12

Episode 2: Beyond the Boardroom – Erik Blachford on Adventure, Change, and Resilience

In this episode, I sit down with Erik Blachford—early Expedia founder and CEO, board member, advisor and investor to talk about navigating change, taking risks, and getting outside your comfort zone.

Erik shares stories from the early days of building Expedia, his passion for building ventures and outdoor adventures, and his passion for helping leaders and the moment he got a quiet nudge to make a pivot in his career that changed everything.

One of my favorite takeaways? “Have all the plans you want—but know they’re written in sand. Don’t get upset when the tide comes in.”

If you’re in a season of uncertainty, this conversation is a reminder to stay curious, stay connected, and be patient with the process, especially in difficult times.

Erik Blachford has led companies through M&A, sat on public and venture-backed boards like Zillow, Peloton, Hipcamp and Glassdoor, and invested in startups across travel, marketplaces, and consumer tech and helps leaders, early-stage founders, think through go-to-market, scale, and staying focused under pressure.
