Aslani warned military escalation is now as likely as a diplomatic breakthrough, amid increased US military posture. Mohamad ElMasri, Professor at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, said neither side wants war or a prolonged stalemate, raising the risk of renewed conflict. He added Israel is pushing for escalation, seeking regime change or weakening Iran and lobbying the US to return to war.
