First published in 1885, Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) has only just become the internationally adopted standard of time, Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland was 66 years old, the automobile was still a secret in Mr Carl Friedrich Benz's garage, and before the Kodak camera.
