In this fable, a hungry fox sees a bunch of grapes hanging high on a tree branch. The fox makes multiple attempts to reach them but fails each time. Frustrated, the Fox declares the grapes must be sour and walks away.

Moral: It is easy to dismiss or dislike something that is difficult to obtain. Alternatively, the story teaches the value of perseverance rather than resorting to excuses or blame.

In this fable mice are being terrorized by the house cat. In an effort to control the cat a meeting is called of all mice (a mouse council) to discuss the Cat problem. One mouse comes up with the idea of putting a bell around the Cat’s neck and all the other mice believe this is a great idea. Until one wise old mouse points out how difficult it would be for any mouse to put a bell around a cat’s neck.

Moral: It is one thing to propose and idea, it is another thing to carry it out.

This audio drama is based on Aesop’s fable “The Bear and the Bees”.  In this fable, the Bear is foraging for honey and comes across a beehive in a log. One lone Bee appears to protect the hive and stings the Bear on the nose. The Bear is so angered it destroys the hive and soon finds it is being stung by hundreds of bees. Moral;  It is wiser to put up with a single injury in silence, than provoke a hundred injuries with your anger.

This audio drama is based on Aesop’s fable “Tortoise and the Hare”.  In this fable, the Hare makes fun of the Tortoise for being so slow, and the Tortoise challenges the Hare to a race. The Hare is so overconfident takes a nap in the middle of the race and oversleeps. The tortoise wins. Moral - Slow and steady wins the race.

This audio drama is based on Aesop’s fable “The Boy Who Cried Wolf”.  In this fable, the Shepard Boy is bored with his work so he pretends he is being attacked by Wolves. After doing this several times the townspeople stop coming to his aid. Sadly, a real Wolf appears and took all his sheep away and no one came to help him. Moral; If you lie no one will believe you when you tell the truth.

This audio drama is based on Aesop’s fable “Lion and the Mouse”.  In this fable, the Lion is asleep on the Mouse’s path home. The Mouse decides to climb over the sleeping lion, but this awakes it, so the mouse does some fast talking to keep from being eaten. Sometime later the lion is captured by hunters and in need of help. So, the mouse hurries to Lion’s aid. Moral; Even the least of friends can be the greatest of helpers.

This audio drama is based on Aesop’s fable “The Ant and the Grasshopper”.  In this fable, the Grasshopper comes upon some ants storing food and asks if they will share their food. The ants explain to the grasshopper since it was too busy playing to collect food, the Grasshopper will have to do without. Moral; There is a time for work and there is a time for play.
