This week on the Accessible Hunter Podcast, we’re excited to welcome Bill Bogdan!
Bill serves as the Disability Liaison for the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office and has dedicated more than 25 years to advancing accessibility, disability rights, adaptive recreation, and spinal cord injury advocacy.
Following a life-changing spinal cord injury due to having a tumor removed as an infant, Bill refused to let paralysis define him. Today, he enjoys adaptive scuba diving, kayaking, sit skiing, and numerous other outdoor adventures while helping create more inclusive opportunities for people with disabilities nationwide.
Bill has worked with organizations including United Spinal Association, Diveheart, and continues to be a respected leader in the disability and adaptive sports communities.
Join us as we discuss:
• Life after paralysis
• Adaptive sports and recreation
• Disability advocacy and accessibility
• Transportation and outdoor access challenges
• Building inclusive opportunities for hunters, anglers, and outdoor enthusiasts
• The future of adaptive recreation
This is an great conversation about resilience, independence, and proving that a disability doesn’t mean the adventure has to end.
No matter how you get there, GET THERE.
