Because gratitude on the hard days isn't naive. It isn't toxic positivity or pretending everything is fine. It is one of the most radical, defiant, courageous things a human being can do. To look at a difficult, unresolved, painful moment and say — I trust anyway. I am grateful anyway. Hallelujah anyway.
