  • Republican Math: Spending $95 Billion Isn’t Spending… Apparently

I’m asking a question that should be easy to answer, but somehow nobody in Washington wants to. Whatever happened to the Republican Party that built its entire identity around fiscal responsibility?

After decades of hearing lectures about deficits, government spending, and living within our means, suddenly ninety-five billion dollars is treated like pocket change. Either the math changed…or the message did.

Then it gets even stranger. One of the most revealing comments wasn’t hidden behind closed doors. It was said out loud.

When lawmakers were asked how this massive spending would be paid for, the response was so breathtakingly honest that it may have exposed what this debate has really been about all along.

If you’ve ever wondered whether political principles actually have expiration dates, you won’t want to miss this conversation.

Then I turn my attention to Senator John Fetterman and the growing speculation that he may walk away from the Democratic Party altogether.

After watching his votes, interviews, and public positions over the past couple of years, I have a very different reaction than many Democrats probably expect. Let’s just say there won’t be any desperate pleas for him to stay.

This episode isn’t about left versus right. It’s about consistency, credibility, and whether principles still matter when the people in power are the ones writing the checks. If politicians are going to spend years preaching one thing and then practice the exact opposite, somebody ought to point it out.

If you’re tired of political double standards, selective outrage, and watching yesterday’s talking points disappear the minute they’re no longer convenient, then this episode is for you.

Sometimes the most revealing stories aren’t about what politicians say. They’re about what they suddenly stop saying. Welcome to another episode of A World Gone Mad.

  • Delusional, Demented, Deranged, AND Dangerous. Trump Being Trump.
    2026/07/18

SEND ME A TEXT MESSAGE NOW

Donald Trump delivered another speech. I forced myself to watch every minute of it so you don’t have to. Trust me… it wasn’t easy.

What started as a routine presidential address quickly became something far stranger, filled with grand claims, familiar grievances, and moments that left me wondering whether I was watching politics or pure performance art.

From promises that America has never been stronger to declarations about healthcare, the economy, Iran, and election integrity,

I break down the speech the way only A World Gone Mad can…with humor, sarcasm, frustration, and a healthy dose of “Did Trump really just say that?” There were moments I laughed, moments I cringed, and several moments where I honestly questioned what country Donald Trump believes he’s describing.

But beneath the absurdity is something far more serious. Trump’s speech quickly shifts from exaggerated claims, to elections, China, classified documents, and the coming midterms.

That’s where this episode takes a hard turn…from comedy into a discussion about why rhetoric matters, why words have consequences, and why this speech deserves more attention than a quick headline or social media clip.

I also ask a question I’ve been asking this audience for a long time: At what point do we stop shaking our heads and start speaking up?

Whether you agree with me, disagree with me, or fall somewhere in between, I want to hear from you. Your voice matters, and silence isn’t much of a strategy when the stakes feel this high.

Finally, I close on a personal note. It’s my birthday weekend, and Natacha and I are stepping away from the lunacy for a couple of days to recharge before returning Monday.

Sometimes the healthiest thing we can do is hit pause, spend time with the people we love, and come back ready for whatever insanity is waiting next.

If you’re looking for another sanitized political recap, this isn’t it. If you’re looking for sharp commentary, plenty of humor, genuine concern, and an honest reaction to one of the week’s most talked-about speeches, then pull up a chair.

  • Confirmation hearings are a joke. Trump wants to revisit 2020
    2026/07/16

Some political stories make you shake your head. Others make you wonder if anyone in Washington is even pretending anymore.

This week, I take on confirmation hearings that increasingly feel like political theater, where everyone already knows how the vote will end before the first question is even asked. At what point does the performance become more important than the process?

Then there’s a White House leak investigation that reportedly reached the point where officials were asked to hand over their phones. That’s not just another Washington story. It’s a window into what happens when panic starts competing with trust.

And just when you think the country might finally move on, Trump pulls the conversation right back to 2020. While the next election gets closer, he’s still trying to relitigate the last one.

Maybe none of these stories surprise you anymore. Maybe that’s the biggest story of all. If confirmation hearings have become a formality, if panic is replacing trust behind closed doors, and if Washington keeps relitigating yesterday instead of dealing with tomorrow, then we’ve lowered the bar far more than we realize.

  • The Red Scare Is Back… Trump Just Opened McCarthy’s Playbook.
    2026/07/14

Lindsey Graham’s sudden death should have been a moment for reflection. Instead, it became something else almost immediately. Kash Patel and the FBI got involved.

Before the facts had a chance to catch up, the speculation took off at full speed. In today’s America, that’s becoming the rule instead of the exception.

Then came language that should sound familiar to anyone who’s paid attention to history. The words may be different. The technology may be different. But the political playbook? That hasn’t changed nearly as much as we’d like to believe.

What happens when fear becomes a campaign strategy? When political opponents stop being opponents and start being portrayed as enemies hiding in plain sight?

America has traveled down this road before, and the similarities are difficult to ignore.

I’ll explain why I believe Donald Trump is dusting off one of the oldest political playbooks in American history.

Trump’s calling people “communists”. That’s why the phrase “Red Scare” matters far more than most people realize, and why history has a habit of returning with a fresh coat of paint.

I’ll also take a hard look at another story that’s receiving far less attention than it deserves: America’s growing missile shortage.

As tensions with Iran continue, are we quietly burning through military stockpiles faster than we can replace them? It’s a question that could have consequences far beyond the current conflict.

This is Episode 251 of A World Gone Mad—where history matters, common sense is trying to have a seat at the table, and asking uncomfortable questions is always welcome.

  • Episode 250: Born In A Hospital Bed. 2½ Years Later. Going Strong.
    2026/07/07

Some milestones deserve a celebration. Others deserve a story. Episode 250 is both.

What began during a hospital stay as nothing more than an idea has grown into a podcast heard in 108 countries and nearly 1,700 locations around the world.

Armed with a microphone and a lifetime in broadcasting, I never imagined that journey would happen, and I certainly never imagined I’d still be here two and a half years later talking about a world that somehow keeps getting even stranger.

This isn’t just a look back. It’s a look at what 250 episodes have taught me about politics, cable news, social media, outrage, common sense, and the remarkable people who keep this country moving forward while the people in charge often seem determined to move it backward.

You’ll also hear my very first…

“STATE OF SANITY” Address, where I hand out grades to Congress, the media, social media, political consultants, pollsters, fact-checkers, conspiracy theorists, and a few others who have definitely earned my attention over the past two and a half years.

Most importantly, this episode is about gratitude. To everyone who has listened, agreed, disagreed, challenged me, corrected me, laughed with me, and kept this crazy experiment alive…thank you. You didn’t just help me reach Episode 250. You made it possible.

So whether you’ve been here since Episode 1 or you’re discovering A World Gone Mad for the very first time, welcome. The microphone is on, my opinions are uncensored, and the next chapter starts right now.

  • America’s 250th Fourth Of July: Put Down The Phone. Enjoy Today
    2026/07/04

SEND ME A TEXT MESSAGE NOW

For one episode, I’m hitting the pause button on the political noise. There’ll be plenty of time for headlines, arguments, and outrage TOMORROW. This one is different.

As America celebrates its 250th Fourth of July, I want to share a simple challenge with the WolfPack…

What if the best way to honor this holiday’s not by scrolling through another endless debate, but by putting down the phone and fully enjoying the people and moments right in front of you.

What does freedom really mean in today’s world? Why are we being pulled toward distraction? And why might choosing gratitude, laughter, and genuine connection be one of the most meaningful decisions you make this holiday weekend?

This isn’t about politics. It’s about family, friends, neighbors, great conversations, backyard barbecues, fireworks, and the memories that last long after the social media posts fade away.

So whether you’re listening before the celebration, on the Fourth of July itself, or afterward, I hope you’ll spend a few minutes with me.

Then put the phone away, hug the people you love, make some memories, and enjoy one of America’s most meaningful holidays.

From my family to yours, we hope you have a wonderful celebration in peace and safety.

  • Republicans Turn On Republicans. Trump Says Declassify Everything.

House Republicans are making headlines again, and this time the fight isn’t with Democrats.

Speaker Mike Johnson is facing another revolt from within his own party, and I’ll break down what’s really happening, who’s behind it, and why this latest showdown could have consequences that reach well beyond Capitol Hill.

Donald Trump has given his acting Director of National Intelligence, Bill Pulte, a high profile assignment that’s already generating plenty of attention inside Washington. I’ll explain what prompted it, why it’s becoming so controversial, and the larger questions it raises.

Former CIA Director John Brennan has launched a new legal battle against the Trump administration. At first glance it looks like another Washington courtroom fight, but there’s far more at stake than most people realize.

Same shit, different day in Trump’s circus of the absurd. Let’s dive in and see what Washington has managed to screw up this time.

  • Supreme Court Breaks With Precedent. Bible Enters Texas Classrooms
    2026/06/30

SEND ME A TEXT MESSAGE NOW

Some weeks, the biggest political battles don’t happen at the White House. They happen inside the Supreme Court, where a handful of justices can reshape presidential power with a single opinion.

This week, the Court handed Donald Trump a major victory, surprised just about everyone with another ruling, and reminded the country that the rules can change in ways few people see coming.

Then I head to Texas, where millions of public school students will be forced to learn Bible stories in the classroom. Is it history? Is it religion? Is it education? Or is it the latest front in America’s never ending culture war? The debate is only getting started.

I’ll also dig into the latest confusion surrounding Donald Trump’s claims about Iran, why the stories coming from both sides don’t match, and why that’s a much bigger problem than another political headline.

Then there’s Donald Trump’s appeal to the Supreme Court in the long running E. Jean Carroll case. The justices have now issued their decision, putting the case back in the spotlight and making it one of the week’s most significant legal developments.

I’m convinced we’re living through the strangest political experiment of our lifetime. Every week seems determined to outdo the one before it. And we’re not even at Fourth of July yet!
