  • Republican Math: Spending $95 Billion Isn’t Spending… Apparently
    2026/07/21

SEND ME A TEXT MESSAGE NOW

I’m asking a question that should be easy to answer, but somehow nobody in Washington wants to. Whatever happened to the Republican Party that built its entire identity around fiscal responsibility?

After decades of hearing lectures about deficits, government spending, and living within our means, suddenly ninety-five billion dollars is treated like pocket change. Either the math changed…or the message did.

Then it gets even stranger. One of the most revealing comments wasn’t hidden behind closed doors. It was said out loud.

When lawmakers were asked how this massive spending would be paid for, the response was so breathtakingly honest that it may have exposed what this debate has really been about all along.

If you’ve ever wondered whether political principles actually have expiration dates, you won’t want to miss this conversation.

Then I turn my attention to Senator John Fetterman and the growing speculation that he may walk away from the Democratic Party altogether.

After watching his votes, interviews, and public positions over the past couple of years, I have a very different reaction than many Democrats probably expect. Let’s just say there won’t be any desperate pleas for him to stay.

This episode isn’t about left versus right. It’s about consistency, credibility, and whether principles still matter when the people in power are the ones writing the checks. If politicians are going to spend years preaching one thing and then practice the exact opposite, somebody ought to point it out.

If you’re tired of political double standards, selective outrage, and watching yesterday’s talking points disappear the minute they’re no longer convenient, then this episode is for you.

Sometimes the most revealing stories aren’t about what politicians say. They’re about what they suddenly stop saying. Welcome to another episode of A World Gone Mad.

  • Delusional, Demented, Deranged, AND Dangerous. Trump Being Trump.
    2026/07/18

SEND ME A TEXT MESSAGE NOW

Donald Trump delivered another speech. I forced myself to watch every minute of it so you don’t have to. Trust me… it wasn’t easy.

What started as a routine presidential address quickly became something far stranger, filled with grand claims, familiar grievances, and moments that left me wondering whether I was watching politics or pure performance art.

From promises that America has never been stronger to declarations about healthcare, the economy, Iran, and election integrity,

I break down the speech the way only A World Gone Mad can…with humor, sarcasm, frustration, and a healthy dose of “Did Trump really just say that?” There were moments I laughed, moments I cringed, and several moments where I honestly questioned what country Donald Trump believes he’s describing.

But beneath the absurdity is something far more serious. Trump’s speech quickly shifts from exaggerated claims, to elections, China, classified documents, and the coming midterms.

That’s where this episode takes a hard turn…from comedy into a discussion about why rhetoric matters, why words have consequences, and why this speech deserves more attention than a quick headline or social media clip.

I also ask a question I’ve been asking this audience for a long time: At what point do we stop shaking our heads and start speaking up?

Whether you agree with me, disagree with me, or fall somewhere in between, I want to hear from you. Your voice matters, and silence isn’t much of a strategy when the stakes feel this high.

Finally, I close on a personal note. It’s my birthday weekend, and Natacha and I are stepping away from the lunacy for a couple of days to recharge before returning Monday.

Sometimes the healthiest thing we can do is hit pause, spend time with the people we love, and come back ready for whatever insanity is waiting next.

If you’re looking for another sanitized political recap, this isn’t it. If you’re looking for sharp commentary, plenty of humor, genuine concern, and an honest reaction to one of the week’s most talked-about speeches, then pull up a chair.

  • Confirmation hearings are a joke. Trump wants to revisit 2020
    2026/07/16

Some political stories make you shake your head. Others make you wonder if anyone in Washington is even pretending anymore.

This week, I take on confirmation hearings that increasingly feel like political theater, where everyone already knows how the vote will end before the first question is even asked. At what point does the performance become more important than the process?

Then there’s a White House leak investigation that reportedly reached the point where officials were asked to hand over their phones. That’s not just another Washington story. It’s a window into what happens when panic starts competing with trust.

And just when you think the country might finally move on, Trump pulls the conversation right back to 2020. While the next election gets closer, he’s still trying to relitigate the last one.

Maybe none of these stories surprise you anymore. Maybe that’s the biggest story of all. If confirmation hearings have become a formality, if panic is replacing trust behind closed doors, and if Washington keeps relitigating yesterday instead of dealing with tomorrow, then we’ve lowered the bar far more than we realize.
