This audio is based on a paper written by John Stewart McLennan on the prospect of a historical site in Louisbourg. This paper, "A Notable Ruin", was read on November 10th, 1908, before the Nova Scotia Historical Society.
These are Mr. McLennan's words. Narration by J Bourgeois.
J. S. Mclennan was instrumental in having the federal government eventually fund the reconstruction of one quarter of the fortified town of Louisbourg.
Mr. McLennan would pass away in 1939. Approximately 20 years later, the reconstruction at Louisbourg, in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada would begin.
