In this episode, we made our way to Washington D.C. and met Dr. Kate Hurley during the joint AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) Convention & World Veterinary Association conference. Kate is a pioneer in shelter veterinary medicine who has improved the lives of animals through innovative thinking, evidence-based approaches, and not least her tireless passion for our four-legged friends. For her great achievements in advancing animal welfare in shelter medicine, she was awarded by the AVMA in Animal Welfare this year. Let yourselves be carried away by Kate´s story and learn about the emergence of her discipline.
