Our guest this week is Victoria Mapplebeck, the director of 160 Characters and Missed Call, two short documentaries about her son, both filmed on iPhones. She is also a reader in Digital Arts at Royal Holloway university, where she also convenes their Documentary MA programme. She talks about making films with your iPhone, finding funding for documentaries in the UK, and whether VR (Virtual Reality) is the future of documentary filmmaking.
Missed Call directed by Victoria Mapplebeck won the Social Media Short Award at The AHRC Research in Film Awards which took place at BAFTA on November 8 2018.
