    Psalm 29 is about the power and authority of the voice of God. This is the voice that spoke all creation into existence, and this is the voice that David hears. When he sees a powerful thunderstorm, it reminds him of God’s voice. Only he knows that God’s voice is even more powerful, so he seeks to describe God’s voice compared to what he sees. This is the same God today with the same powerful, authoritative voice. Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” God’s voice is distinctive from any other, and you can know His voice. David hears it and describes it in Psalm 29.
