Chad first went to Africa chasing an ex-fiancé but instead discovered Orphan Relief and Rescue (ORR), where he became deeply moved by the devastation and orphan crisis following Liberia’s civil war. During his 3.5-month stay, he joined rescue missions, met the founders, and realized that while he wasn’t called to live in Africa, he was meant to be a voice and supporter for the children there. Upon returning home, he rallied friends to raise $50,000 for ORR, beginning a long journey of advocacy and fundraising since 2007. Chad is especially passionate about ORR’s Savings and Loan Program, which empowers locals to start sustainable businesses, restoring dignity and hope. He remains inspired by the transformation he sees in lives changed by ORR’s work—women gaining confidence, families thriving, and communities strengthened. As an investor-minded supporter, he urges others to give, knowing that every dollar invested in ORR yields a powerful, lasting impact through local employment and community empowerment.
