    Grief fucks with everything, including your sex drive. This week we're getting messy and honest about death and intimacy: how loss can send your libido into overdrive or kill it completely, why you might find yourself looking for physical connection in all the wrong places, and how your need for intimacy can get weaponized against you when you're vulnerable.


    We talk about using sex as a coping mechanism, why we recommend taking a year off dating if you're single and grieving (spoiler: go to a support group instead), and how suicide loss survivors can struggle to believe they're even lovable because of the way they lost their person.


    We also dive into International Suicide Loss Survivor Day: why it might be too much when you're freshly grieving but becomes incredibly healing later on. The support groups break you out by who you lost, the walks are a gentle way to dip your toe into community, and by year three, you might even find yourself laughing. Progress is real.


    Plus: how to regulate your nervous system through positive self-talk and self-touch (yes, including masturbation), why it's hard to love yourself out loud when grief has you convinced you're unlovable, and how to ask yourself what you really need instead of reaching for casual intimacy. There's no wrong way to grieve, but learning from your mistakes and forgiving yourself matters.

  • Grief Milestones: The Suckiveraries

    Suckaversaries are our way of saying sucky anniversaries... like death days, birthdays, and holidays. With Thanksgiving around the corner, we're diving into the dates that suck the most when your person is missing and how to actually get through them.


    This week we talk about why certain dates feel impossible, how to navigate family gatherings when you're barely holding it together, and the pressure to be "festive" when you're falling apart. We discuss the three main options for handling suck-versaries: redesign the day with new rituals, opt out entirely and skip it, or show up with boundaries and an exit plan. There's no right way to do this—only your way.


    We share our own chaotic holiday stories, the traditions we abandoned vs. the ones we kept, and why it's okay to hate Thanksgiving (or any holiday) right now. Plus: how to deal with well-meaning relatives who don't get it, why some years are harder than others, and permission to grieve the person at the table while everyone else is passing the mashed potatoes.

  • How Sad Girls Move On

    This week we're debunking the bullshit idea that you're supposed to "get over it" from losing someone you love. Spoiler: you don't get over it. You move on AND you move forward, and there's a huge difference.

    We talk about the pressure to be "better" by now, the people who tried to rush our grief, and why acceptance doesn't mean you've gotten over it. Aleksei shares how being with someone who didn't do the work pushed her to find support groups full of people who actually get it.

    We dive into the tsunami parable about how grief is a wave you have to swim through not run from, and discuss finding "the gift" in loss without toxic positivity bullshit.

    Plus: the importance of finding a therapist who matches your vibe, integrating your loss into real life, honoring your person with memorial jewelry, and the will to live when everything feels impossible.
