Where the US market had Avril Lavigne and Hilary Duff, we were channelling all our teenage angst with Amy!

Amy's rise to pop stardom sounds like something straight out of a movie. Enter a "grungy teen" from a seaside English town who loved to write songs, plucked from obscurity by music svengali Simon Fuller (the man behind Spice Girls and S Club 7) and placed in the studio with some of the industry's best pop songwriters and producers. Cue Karen Poole, Yak Bondy, David Eriksen, Cathy Dennis, Gary Barlow, Eliot Kennedy, and Rob Davis.

This conversation is a real nostalgic snapshot of a teen pop star's life in the early 2000s. From legendary 19 Management Christmas parties with Amy Winehouse, Pop Idol stars and S Club 7, through to "CD:UK" and extravagant overseas music video shoots... and even the curious case of a Sheryl Crow cover.
