យប់នោះ ស្តេចមិនអាចដេកលក់បានឡើយ។ ពេលភ្លឺ ស្តេចបានរត់ទៅរូងសត្វតោ ហើយហៅដានីយ៉ែល។ ព្រះជាម្ចាស់បានចាត់ទេវតាមកបិទមាត់សត្វតោ ហើយដានីយ៉ែលមិនបានរងគ្រោះអ្វីឡើយ! ស្តេចមានអំណរយ៉ាងខ្លាំង ហើយបានឲ្យគេស្រង់យកដានីយ៉ែលចេញ ហើយផ្តន្ទាទោសពួកអ្នកកុហកទ្រង់ទាំងនោះវិញ។

បន្ទាប់មក ស្តេចដារីយុសបានចេញក្រឹត្យថ្មីមួយថា ប្រជាជនទាំងអស់ត្រូវគោរពព្រះជាម្ចាស់របស់ដានីយ៉ែល ដែលជាព្រះដ៏រស់ និងជាព្រះដែលសង្គ្រោះ និងធ្វើការអស្ចារ្យ។ ដានីយ៉ែលបានបន្តទទួលព្រះពរ និងភាពរុងរឿងក្រោមការគ្រប់គ្រងរបស់ស្តេចដារីយុស។

Daniel in the Lions’ Den (Daniel 6)

Daniel, a faithful servant of God, rose to a high position in Babylon under King Darius. Other officials became jealous and tricked the king into making a law that no one could pray to anyone except the king for 30 days—or be thrown into a den of lions.

Though Daniel knew the law, he continued to pray to God three times a day. The jealous men caught him and brought him before the king. Though Darius cared for Daniel, he was forced to obey the law and had Daniel thrown into the lions’ den.

That night, the king couldn’t sleep. At dawn, he rushed to the den and called out to Daniel. God had sent an angel to shut the lions’ mouths, and Daniel was unharmed! Overjoyed, the king had Daniel lifted out and punished his accusers.

Then King Darius issued a new decree declaring that everyone must honor the God of Daniel, the living God who saves and performs wonders. Daniel continued to prosper under Darius’s rule.
