Vampires, dating apps, and murder, oh my!
Detective Sarah Jane Prentice has three problems.
First, someone in San Jose has it out for witches, and is hunting them down and killing them. Sadistically.
Second, there's a new vampire in town using his powers of seduction to talk young college women into "donating" their blood.
Each witch murder brings up a new horrifying memory Sarah Jane would rather forget. And to solve them, she'll have to face long buried family secrets and an enemy far worse than all the monsters she’s ever faced: her father.
Handling the vampire will be even trickier, because let's face it: at nearly 50 years old, hunting vampires is a young woman's game, and a little out of her purview. But when her daughter's roommate disappears, Sarah Jane suspects the vampire, and she knows she can't stand by idly, because if she doesn't do something, her daughter will.
And if all of that wasn’t enough to deal with, her new spirit guide is insisting that she start dating. She isn’t sure what’s scarier. Finding the murderer, stopping a vampire, or dating for the first time in more than 25 years.
