あらすじ・解説

Random House presents the audiobook edition of Who Moved My Cheese? by Spencer Johnson, read by Tony Roberts and Karen Ziemba, with an introduction read by Kenneth Blanchard.

Who Moved My Cheese? is a simple parable that reveals profound truths. It is the amusing and enlightening story of four characters who live in a maze and look for cheese to nourish them and make them happy. Cheese is a metaphor for what you want to have in life, for example a good job, a loving relationship, money or possessions, health or spiritual peace of mind. The maze is where you look for what you want, perhaps the organisation you work in or the family or community you live in. The problem is that the cheese keeps moving.

In the story, the characters are faced with unexpected change in their search for the cheese. One of them eventually deals with change successfully and writes what he has learned on the maze walls for you to discover. You'll learn how to anticipate, adapt to and enjoy change and be ready to change quickly whenever you need to.

Discover the secret of the writing on the wall for yourself and enjoy less stress and more success in your work and life.

A strong message everyone can relate to

Definitely worth a read! The story is easy to follow and something I feel like a lot of people can relate to. It's not your typical business book...

Okay

I read this book 15+ years ago, it was a refreshing read then. As a 'scurry' and a self-confessed change junkie, I've moved forward from this book and l understand the stress that it causes on those reluctant to change.

As a short read it is worth a credit as it simplifies the complexity of change.

A Parable we all can relate to and take with us

This is one of those books I have heard about for years but never read.
There really is no reason not to listen to this. It is short, and after a little initial resistance to its almost child-like simplicity, you realise that the style of the story perfectly matches the message about who the winners are. And it isn't the over-thinkers (guilty as charged!)
Nobody wants to be a-hem.

classic book on the topic of change

Another one I have been meaning to read for a long time. Was not disappointed though the concepts here are becoming more widely known and I was aware of much of this message already.

What would you do if you were not afraid?

This is a great little book that gives you a visual picture of what you need to do to change anything in your life. Be it changing a job, a way you act in a relationship or how you look at progressing your life in a different way. This short book hold a great simple point: fear is holding you back :- If you embrace your fear of the unknown you might surprise yourself.

The power of fiction shines through

I was a little surprised to find it’s a fictional story, but in some ways it makes its point more vividly as a result. I listened to every word and I will surely recommend this in the future

Truly Insightful To How We Approach Change

A great metaphor for the changes that occur in all our lives and how we approach those changes. Truly insightful.
