Mary Lennox is a sad and sickly girl. She acts bitter to everyone around her and doesn’t mind that she doesn’t have friends; she doesn’t need them. Americans precede anything negative with three nice comments; French, Dutch, Israelis, and Germans get straight to the point; Latin Americans and Asians are steeped in hierarchy; Scandinavians think the best boss is just one of the crowd. It's no surprise that when they try and talk to each other, chaos breaks out. In The Culture Map, INSEAD professor Erin Meyer is your guide through this subtle, sometimes treacherous terrain in which people from starkly different backgrounds are expected to work harmoniously together.

ストーリー
By sixth grade, Miranda and her best friend, Sal, know how to navigate their New York City neighborhood. They know where it's safe to go, like the local grocery store, and they know whom to avoid, like the crazy guy on the corner.
But things start to unravel. Sal gets punched by a new kid for what seems like no reason, and he shuts Miranda out of his life. The apartment key that Miranda's mom keeps hidden for emergencies is stolen. And then Miranda finds a mysterious note.

ストーリー
Most people are fearful of change because they don't have any control over how or when it happens to them. Since change happens either to the individual or by the individual, Dr. Spencer Johnson uses a simple story to show that when it comes to living in a changing world, what matters most is your attitude. Exploring a simple way to take the fear and anxiety out of managing the future, Who Moved My Cheese? can help you discover how to anticipate, acknowledge, and accept change in order to have a positive impact on your job, your relationships, and every aspect of your life.

Awful sound quality
I'm studying this book as part of a children's literature course, and enjoyed the story. The sound quality was terrible though, and I'm not sure I'd have had the patience to persevere with it unless I needed to. Very expensive for such bad quality.

Not truly an audiobook
I was disappointed on getting this audiobook as it wasn't truly a narration of the actual book. what it turned out to be was more a traditional dramatised radio show with actors voicing each character. I think I will need to get hold of the actual book to read and hope one day someone will do a proper audiobook version.

Very Enjoyable
A very good adaptation but it felt too short and it made me want to listen to an unabridged reading.

Beautiful story, well read
Where does Tom's Midnight Garden (Dramatised) rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
An enjoyable children's tale I remember well from my childhood.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Tom's Midnight Garden (Dramatised)?
I was filled with excitement as they skated down the river.
What does Dramatisation bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
The dramatization really brought the book to life and immersed me into Tom's world.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
No spoilers here - the ending is very lovely.
Any additional comments?
This is a relatively short book that I loved listening to over the course of an evening. Worth a listen if you read this as a child and a wonderful story to introduce to your own children.

Tom's Midnight Garden
Having been a huge fan of Phlippa Pearce as a child I was keen to listen to this with my 8 year old son. We both loved it. The dramatisation is very well done and the story is easy to follow. It was a real joy to see my son fascinated by the events unfolding in the garden, and trying to work out what was happening, how and why...

Great for a car journey with the kids
A lovely story with a satisfying end, this was a perfect length for a holiday homeward car journey. The kids were not keen on listening at the start - they wanted the iPad - but we played this at x1.2 speed (which was a comfortable listening speed) and the story moved well and they enjoyed it. I’m sure we’ll be listening to it again on a future drive.

Thanks for the memories of reading this book
I remember reading this book on cassette tapes when i was younger. The same recording too. I recall the joy of reading it then. The dramatisation was as perfect to me now as it was back then. I’d recommend this to anyone, whether childor adult, a beautiful story about time and loneliness andthe longing for childhood in old age.
