Americans precede anything negative with three nice comments; French, Dutch, Israelis, and Germans get straight to the point; Latin Americans and Asians are steeped in hierarchy; Scandinavians think the best boss is just one of the crowd. It's no surprise that when they try and talk to each other, chaos breaks out. In The Culture Map, INSEAD professor Erin Meyer is your guide through this subtle, sometimes treacherous terrain in which people from starkly different backgrounds are expected to work harmoniously together.

Sleep is one of the most important but least understood aspects of our life, wellness, and longevity. Until very recently, science had no answer to the question of why we sleep, or what good it served, or why we suffer such devastating health consequences when we don't sleep. Compared to the other basic drives in life - eating, drinking, and reproducing - the purpose of sleep remained elusive.

Factfulness: The stress-reducing habit of carrying only opinions for which you have strong supporting facts. When asked simple questions about global trends - why the world's population is increasing; how many young women go to school; how many of us live in poverty - we systematically get the answers wrong. So wrong that a chimpanzee choosing answers at random will consistently outguess journalists, Nobel laureates, and investment bankers.

The next Bill Gates will not build an operating system. The next Larry Page or Sergey Brin won’t make a search engine. And the next Mark Zuckerberg won't create a social network. If you are copying these guys, you aren't learning from them. It's easier to copy a model than to make something new: doing what we already know how to do takes the world from 1 to n, adding more of something familiar. But every time we create something new, we go from 0 to 1.

Sherlock Holmes is a fictional detective of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, who first appeared in publication in 1887. He is the creation of Scottish born author and physician Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. あらすじ・解説
"Think and Grow Rich" is a motivational personal development and self-help book written by Napoleon Hill and inspired by a suggestion from Scottish-American businessman Andrew Carnegie. While the title implies that this book deals only with how to get rich, the author explains that the philosophy taught in the book can be used to help people succeed in all lines of work and to do or be almost anything they want.

Mix of great and outdated
I struggled at first with the outdated and politically incorrect references. And then I recognized the book for what it was: the inspiration for many of today's wide variety of self help books. And actually I think it's helped me where many of these other current books could not.

Really but ok
Only thing I didn’t like is him reenacting a person of color. It was awful, rude, and poor presentation. Let it be known in order to have a overall great book. You must present people of any race with respect. No matter how it was written. It’s the deliverance for me! I will let this be one of the questions I include from this book I guess!

A necessary thought process to succeed.
Summary:
It helps you establish what is thought by many to be a necessary thought process to succeed. Unfortunately it's filled with fluff and pseudoscience, and perhaps could be done better without that, but despite that, it is a good read. You should also be aware this is NOT a finance book. It is a self-help book on succeeding in life, in general.
Pros:
There is a viewpoint accepted by many successful people that I've noticed in my life, that is essentially the premise of this book: You need to believe you are going to be successful if you want to be successful. There is no benefit that exists with believing that you are a victim in any capacity, even if in reality you are a victim. In fact, there's only negatives that exist with that mindset that will only hinder your ability to succeed in life.
That is it, right there. This one, but very useful point is expanded upon throughout this book, It's something worth listening to, even at it's 10 hour length.
Cons:
The book is filled with repetition and fluff. A good 25% of the text seems to be spent on telling you how good this book is.
The author also primarily cites pseudoscience and his opinions as fact. For example, at one point to further his point he mentions how his friend is bald and it's his fault because he wears hats. He states "hats = baldness." This may or may not be true, but his point ends there and there is no evidence in the book to support his claim. It pretty much follows as, "I think it works like this, therefore this is a truth of the universe. Let's move forward to my next opinion."

No where near as good as is been lead to believe
A lot of the book is dedicated to wishing to the universe for them to magically appear, tuning your brain waves to the vibrational frequency of others and other hippy rubbish.
There are other bits more practical but not much, certainly you could get the practical buts from other books without the hippy rubbish. Save your credits / money and avoid, despite all the online recommendations.
