A Course in Miracles (ACIM) - the self-study spiritual-thought system that teaches the way to love and forgiveness - has captivated the minds and captured the hearts of millions of people. Delivering inner peace where fear and pain once prevailed, its universal message is unsurpassed in its power to heal. Yet many students report that they have difficulty grasping the principles or keeping up with the lessons. So even while they yearn for the spiritual freedom the course offers, they put the book aside, hoping to get to it one day.

The idea that “thoughts become things” has become a meme in popular culture. It’s held as a firm proposition in metaphysics, and some spiritual teachers ascribe infinite powers to the mind. But are these claims scientifically accurate? What does the scientific evidence tell us about the scope of the human mind to transform thoughts into reality?

あらすじ・解説
May you live during interesting times: so goes an ancient Chinese blessing - or some say curse. That wish has come true for us. Now what?
In this radically illuminating audiobook, Alan Cohen delves into one of the world’s most venerated wisdom texts for answers and brings the lofty and enigmatic concepts of the Tao Te Ching down to earth in fresh, easy-to-grasp language with practical, personal examples we can use to uplift our daily lives.
Most other interpretations of the Tao march through the stanzas one by one. Here Alan Cohen calls forth the ancient verses around themes that are central to our modern lives - from love to work to the lessons we learn from pain. Then he brings each message to life in short vignettes where he imagines himself a student of Lao Tse and interacts with the master directly and intimately.
He invites you to join the ancient sage and the contemporary seeker as they wend their way through the challenges and triumphs of the same journey you’re taking yourself.

This is some of the worst narration I have ever heard. The author would’ve been much better off having a professional read the book. The content was decent, but the narration is so bad I won’t finish the book. I’m returning this book.

Thank you, Master Cohen
I'd like to send my deepest appreciation to our teacher, Alan Cohen. This powerful book drew me nearer to the Tao when I didn't even know what it was. I was kept company every day to and from work, each morning and each afternoon learning more and more, understanding more and more. I'm sorry to see the book end, but look forward to the coming chapters as they play out in my own life. Thank you for this beautiful piece of art, Mr Cohen. I bow. 🙏🏻

The Tao meets A Course in Miracles
I’ve listened to and read many of the authors books as well as attended their classes through Hay House. I was listening to this book because in the past the author has made some complex subject easy by presenting them in an easier way. However, by the end of this book I don’t see the Tao any differently than I already did prior to reading the book. If the author has stayed with Loazi in the hut then it would have been a great book. However, they instead came back to reality and tied in the Course of Miracles. I understand the Course of Miracles is supposed to be a great work and very beneficial to people, but here it came across as a bandaid way to bring two together with Christianity as the result. Really I’m not sure I got anything out of this book at all. As I listened I heard the author speak of each time they let things be and called it the Tao which they ended up better as a result of it. I just don’t see a deeper understanding of the Tao after the book. Maybe I need to listen to it again, but then again the author states in the beginning of the book they weren’t sure what to do here. I believe this was more of a look at their life when they combine all three teachings. This was of benefit to me. So, maybe look at it that way when you read it.

If You want an “easy” life, Alan’s book, and narrated by him, will provide You with the MOST gentle way possible. This is NOT to be missed because it covers the way to live “every” aspect of life in its most simplistic manner. Essentially, this is “the cake-walk through Life”! This is the most ancient of philosophies that is relevant forever...and should not be missed by anyone...told in storybook format by a wonderful and gifted storyteller.

Truly captivating.
Honestly one of the best audiobooks I have listened to.
I usually end up going through a lot of audible’s audiobooks and returning them early without finishing, however with this book I was totally swept away from the beginning.
The author explains the lessons of the Tao with such clarity, depth and wonderfully touching illustrations, which make it easy to grasp what is being said, and how to apply it to your own life.
The narrator’s voice is perfect for this book; soothing and calming.
Worthwhile listen. This is a audiobook I will be purchasing a physical copy of.
