"Help," shouted Chris. "Please. Somebody help." The silent green head had power over him. The cabbage patch curse was too strong. 'Zip.' Down came his fly. "Don't look. Don't look," shouted Chris. "Don't look. Don't look," shouted Ms. Henderson. But it was too late. Chris let fly. Splash, splash, sploosh. It could only happen in a Paul Jennings story, and it does.

"Paul Jennings outdoes himself in this short, hilarious addition to the Cabbage Patch series....Along with Macauley's skill, there are delightful sound effects, which accompany all Bolinda productions of Paul Jennings. Laughs for all." (AudioFile)

Chris' pee has unusual powers - it can grow cabbage people! In this hilarious (if occasionally disgusting) tale from the well-loved Australian children's author Paul Jennings, Chris and his father come under the curse of the cabbage people when they show their patch "disrespect". The results are laugh-out-loud funny, and enlivened further by boisterous music and imaginative sound effects. Sweet-voiced performer Rebecca Macauley does great voices, from young to old, human to vegetable. A wonderful listen about a tight-knit family and their unusual challenges.
