I NEVER write reviews!
Of all my many years of online purchasing I have never felt compelled to write a review until now. A a new small business owner this book is absolute gold. Its helps you grow from marketing dummy to marketing effectively in just one day. The lessons learned are invaluable and I can already feel that my business will be wildly successful thanks to the jewels I will carry from this book forever. Thank you Alan for giving the little fish a chance to win. If you're on the fence about purchasing this book, knock yourself off as hard and fast as possible, you've already wasted too much time reading this review when you could be learning your first 3 lessons!!! Blessing!

You haven't read any marketing book like this one
Where does The 1-Page Marketing Plan rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Among business books? Right there at the top. Among books? Surely in my top 10.
Any additional comments?
Most of us have read dozens of business books that attempt to teach us about sales and marketing.
They even go as far as saying that marketing is key. Well, this book doesn't do just that, it explains how marketing is up there in priority with the very design of your business.
It doesn't just contrast positioning with product-focused theories, it debunks some and sets others exactly where they belong.
Invaluable lessons to be learned on what a prospect is and how to treat him, how to craft your offer, how to make competition irrelevant (like that: make direct comparison to competitors an apples-to-oranges comparison), how gain the most out of your relationship with your customer, how to avoid the hell of commodity-based offers... And a ton more practical guidelines on how to change your mindset from an ad-for-sale business to one that's value, authority, and trust-based.
No book I've read on marketing comes near this one. It's simple for the rest of us, it doesn't get lost in the technical details of the marketing field, it is completely connected with the rest of what you have to learn as an entrepreneur.
It's an invaluable resource and I'll be sure to read it many times over.

You Need to buy Book to get key info
This sounds like a good companion to the book, but should not be purchased with the idea that you'll get all the material. He refers constantly to lists and a 1-page template and how to fill it out, but we don't get a PDF of the template when we buy the audiobook. To make matters worse, he refers to things without describing exactly what that thing is and then goes on to discuss it. The listener is left to guess at what part of an invisible template he is discussing. Do not get the audiobook without having the book on hand to refer to!

Just what I needed
Would you listen to The 1-Page Marketing Plan again? Why?
I am a mortgage professional using Allan Dib's concepts to create a sustainable business to last for a long time. I am actually on my 2nd time listening to this book. It comes w/ great material to supplement the book like a "greatest headlines" list and a 1 page marketing plan guide which I am in the process of filling in. Even the 2nd time around I'm catching new tidbits I missed at first. This book actually got me excited to begin my marketing plan and Allad Dib has lead me in the right direction. He also offers his email address for questions afterward...awesome.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The 1-Page Marketing Plan?
One of the most memorable moments was when I was able to access the pdf with nine boxes which I fill in to complete my marketing plan. As I'm filling out this template, I feel like I'm touching on all facets needed to properly market my brand.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
It was short enough to listen to in one sitting but I had to break it up as I have a busy schedule
Any additional comments?
I'm currently picking up more copies for my Realtor Partners so we can work together and implement these strategies together.

If you only had one marketing book, get this one
This is an all-around excellent marketing planning primer, well written, funny, and to the point. The beginning starts slowly but builds. But that foundation is important, and by 1/3 the way in you are really getting to the meat and it keeps going from there. HIGHLY actionable, and good for the solo entrepreneur as well as the large corporate marketing person.
I'll be reading this at least once a year from now on and being sure to take action.

Not as useful as I hoped
This book was really a compendium of other books already existing in the business genre, many of which were clearly referenced, so it wasn’t a copycat but more of a collection. For some readers it might be a useful overview that would point to more significant resources, but unfortunately for me I had already consumed many of its references and therefore I could clearly see from where it was drawing its inspiration and the lack of originality in the overall content. The online resources provided alongside were not really exclusive to the book with only a single page (the one page marketing concept) being something to give proper consideration and the rest, text, pictures and videos, whilst occasionally thought provoking were not inspirational or motivating for me to put in the work required. When listening to some business books the content is so mindful/motivational that you feel the need to rewind/review/take notes... but for the most part this book was an easy listen that had a few thoughtful nuggets but little ‘call to action’. Happy to have read it but a little disappointed that it didn’t fire me up.

You are insane if you choose not to read this book
Brilliant book! I have had years of experience and have successfully built businesses from scratch and also purchased businesses I have built up to sell at significant premiums. I have several degrees in business and I have read countless books on business. I am writing this to convince you to get this book, take note of every word and implement it every part. Over the past 30 years I have carried out much of what is suggested in this book leading to great success. I know this works. This book will provide you with the marketing catapult you are looking for. This book is well structured and most importantly It is designed to make it easy for you to implement. The greatest barrier for business people is “not doing” because it becomes too difficult. This book solves that problem and shows you the shortest way between point A and point Z. All you have to do is pick up the pencil and draw the line. Fantastic job Allan Dib!
