Action-oriented and practical book
I recommend this book for those who resonate as a people pleaser, care giver, home and workplace martyrs, parents, and those who want to upgrade their satisfaction in their interactions with their significant other, school-aged and adult children, parents, in laws, coworkers, bosses, and neighbors. I also recommend this for those who sometimes feel they abandoned themselves. Examples were relatable and relevant to each step. Her suggested process seems doable, attainable and realistic. I would have appreciated downloadable PDF files of the steps, the hierarchy pyramid, etc. that she referenced in this Audible book. Worth my time!

Great book for suburban white women
This is a great book for suburban white women and wannabe westerners. She obviously did not have minorities as clients. If she did, she would have learned a lot about how women of color fight for their boundaries on a daily basis and succeed in maintaining it. As a therapist, woman of color and not born in the United States, I often describe to people the disease of America and that is perfectionism. This is what causes many to lack boundaries, and develop anxiety and depression. Since white people were told that they are perfect, they have to do whatever it takes to keep that title.. If you are a minority and told everyday that you will amount to nothing, watched Jim crow, be denied adequate healthcare, education, and employment opportunities, you are best to read Obama’s Audacity of Hope.

Two words - LIFE CHANGING
I bought this book as a student of Nancy’s in her Levin Life Coach Academy. To say this book changed my boundary setting MO is an understatement. Boundaries are no longer a “wish I had them” philosophy. They are now an integral part of my life. I am anew. When I first started working with Nancy, she shared how she was unrecognizable from the woman that started the boundary journey. That sounded like a pipe dream to me. But today I can say I’m almost there thanks to her. But this book!! Become a boundary badass with me!

Mental Health
This is an amazing book. I was worried to find there was a bit about people with mental health problems, saying that 'we should not be spoken to' by our partners about their boundaries, and that 'people like this will not be able to understand them.' Have you ever thought that it's actually really hard for people with mental heslth difficulties to get their needs met? That it's helpful when someone is transparent about their boundaries? indeed for people with BPD, this allows them to feel safe and forms a large part of their treatment. I was sad to hear an attitude such as this in such a great book. We are not in the dark ages and people with mental health problems need encouragement and support, not punishment.

A must read
Absolutely brilliant and daunting approach to boundary setting. This book has appeared at just the right time during this chapter of my life. I appreciate every story and suggestion outlined in this book, as I've now come to realise that I've been the one who has crossed the boundaries in my life, causing others to behave in a manner I didn't appreciate and couldn't at the time explain why - when I thought I did all the right things. Not that I have started to set boundaries, yes its been hard, but that discomfort in the short term as taught me to sit with that feelings and its ok as I'm still here and the world didn't end - Smile. For those who are going through challenging relationships whether its with: family, friends, loved ones &/or colleagues this is an ideal book to bring about awareness on what a boundary is not, as well as putting yourself first. I love this book and will be reading & listening to it again again, as well as doing the exercises. Thank you so much Nancy xXx
