ストーリー
The original 1937 manuscript was written and edited with the assistance of Napoleon’s wife. In later years, the existing document was again edited by Dr. Hill. For example, the Foundation owns a 1958 edition that Hill edited personally. This did not lessen the book’s value in Hill’s judgment. Hill made the editing remarks in his own handwriting and the resulting 1960 edited edition has sold over 100 million copies making it the most read self-help book of all time.

The guru to the gurus at last shares his knowledge with the rest of us. Nobel laureate Daniel Kahneman's seminal studies in behavioral psychology, behavioral economics, and happiness studies have influenced numerous other authors, including Steven Pinker and Malcolm Gladwell. In Thinking, Fast and Slow, Kahneman at last offers his own, first book for the general public. It is a lucid and enlightening summary of his life's work. It will change the way you think about thinking. Two systems drive the way we think and make choices, Kahneman explains....

Americans precede anything negative with three nice comments; French, Dutch, Israelis, and Germans get straight to the point; Latin Americans and Asians are steeped in hierarchy; Scandinavians think the best boss is just one of the crowd. It's no surprise that when they try and talk to each other, chaos breaks out. In The Culture Map, INSEAD professor Erin Meyer is your guide through this subtle, sometimes treacherous terrain in which people from starkly different backgrounds are expected to work harmoniously together.

Sleep is one of the most important but least understood aspects of our life, wellness, and longevity. Until very recently, science had no answer to the question of why we sleep, or what good it served, or why we suffer such devastating health consequences when we don't sleep. Compared to the other basic drives in life - eating, drinking, and reproducing - the purpose of sleep remained elusive.

His vision came down to three clear ideas: Recommit to the concept that quality matters, embrace technology instead of fighting it, and think bigger - think global - and turn Disney into a stronger brand in international markets.

The next Bill Gates will not build an operating system. The next Larry Page or Sergey Brin won’t make a search engine. And the next Mark Zuckerberg won't create a social network. If you are copying these guys, you aren't learning from them. It's easier to copy a model than to make something new: doing what we already know how to do takes the world from 1 to n, adding more of something familiar. But every time we create something new, we go from 0 to 1.

Clean edit, smooth voice like honey
Where does Richest Man In Babylon - Original Edition rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I absolutely love Christa's voice in this edition. She brings the characters to life. Her reading is smooth, easy to understand, and very enjoyable.
The lessons are simple and powerful. I listen to this over and over so the lessons become second nature to my daily life. Save for the future, make money work for you, etc.
What does Christa Lewis bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Smooth voice, makes me feel relaxed

Good Fianancial Fundamentals!!!!!
Would you consider the audio edition of Richest Man In Babylon - Original Edition to be better than the print version?
I have listened to many audio books, and this one is on my top three favorites. Christa's voice was awesome and her tone adjustments throughout the book bring the characters to life. I usually prefer female voices for my audio books, studies show that a female voice retains a listener's attention span for longer periods of time. So true! The story's lessons are priceless and I look forward to teaching my children the principles of saving and investing in yourself. Oh, and the audio was studio quality, no issues. Nice job guys!

As a financial coach I am always on the look out for stories that are relatable and illustrate principles rather than trendy strategy. When we understand the principles we can then apply proper strategy and see through the holes of speculation sold as strategy.

some interesting views told in an relatable way.
I would recommend this book to anyone looking for practical advice on life, work, finances and those interested in views on self development.
I was told about this book from a couple of business owners who put into practice some of the lessons within the book.
I can see myself listening to this again and again over the years ahead.
My only drawback was in my head I found it difficult to picture Babylon as a tangible geographical location and found it to be a resistance block to the main concepts.
I'm confident this will get easier to understand the more I listen to it though.

Great story, mediocre narrator.
Try download a different copy of this audiobook. The narrator in this version is rather monotonous in delivery and doesn’t put in the effort to change her voice with the different characters which makes it hard to follow the dialogues.
I previously listened to another version where effort had been put into voices and sounds of ambiance which made the stories far more engaging. Look for that version.
