Interesting read

This book succeeded in presenting a general overview of the major events that took place in Europe as well as evens that were undertaken by Europeans throughout the world over the past 2,500 years. Some events, epochs, ideas of phenomena were covered in significant detail, while others were skimped over. It has however broadened my perspective on European history and inspired me to look into several topics in greater detail that I had either had never heard of or knew very little about prior to listening to this work.

The narration was well articulated but could be a monotone at times.

Very shallow effort

Very pricey for such a thin volume with the print being so large and the information being so shallow it simply skims through the history of an entire continent at breakneck speed

Important moments in European history

This is a very limited history that is far to short on specifics. I should have known better than to buy this. You cannot cover the history

A different way to tell the story

This audible explains why the Armenians spread out from their original homeland. The Armenian diaspora is well-explained. The like Armenians is tragic and the fact that they have survived is an inspiring tale.

A different way to tell the story

It is so disturbing listening about the shocking way those poor people were treated! I just have a hard time accepting genocide, how do people rationalize it? That being said, this audible bundle was a page Turner for me.

A different way to tell the story

Where many peoples have disappeared in this situation, the Armenians have survived. The Genocide is a painful listening but with a hopeful future.

The Armenian diaspora is well-explained

A good overview of Armenian history and the resiliency of a people. Being located in the prime territory is both a boon and a bane, as well as being between or in the path of empires

I truly give the Armenian people credit for their steadfast pride and determination to remain themselves, and try to beat the yoke of oppression!

Reviewed in the United Kingdom

Overall, though, outstanding overview. Early chapters are especially engagingly written. Also, there is no index, which, in my opinion, is a major flaw in a history audible

There are numerous grammatical errors and some gratuitous politically judgmental statements. Paragraphs are not indented, which, in a audibles length makes inviting than it might be.
