Mukouda Tsuyoshi—alias, "Mukohda"—was an ordinary Japanese salaryman until he was summoned to a fantasy world of swords and magic. 1巻から続く、ムコーダの「美味しいものを作って食べる」という極めて現実的で地に足のついたスタンスは本作でも健在です。今巻ではタイトルにある通り、餃子が登場します。異世界の住人が、日本の家庭的な餃子を食べて驚き、喜び、中毒になっていく描写は、本作の最大の魅力です。

単なるグルメコメディにとどまらず、相棒であるフェルや、新たに仲間に加わる食いしん坊のスイとの擬似家族的な絆がより深まっていく様子が丁寧に描かれています。彼らの「食」を介した交流は、読むだけでどこかほっこりとした気分にさせてくれます。
冒険と生活の絶妙なバランス

タイトルにもある「幻の竜」との遭遇によって、冒険ものとしての緊張感もプラスされています。しかし、物語のトーンは常に穏やかで、ムコーダの「安全第一」な性格が反映されており、重苦しくなりすぎない点が好印象です。

高レベルなスキルを持ちながらも、あくまで常識人として振る舞い、過酷な世界を美味しい食事でサバイブしていくムコーダの姿は、異世界転生ものにありがちな「英雄譚」とは一線を画しており、等身大の楽しみを提供してくれます。
総評

『とんでもスキルで異世界放浪メシ 2』は、美味しい料理の描写と、個性豊かなキャラクターたちのコミカルなやり取りが詰まった一冊です。前巻を楽しめた方であれば、さらに深まる仲間との絆と、よりスケールアップした料理の数々に満足できるはずです。

特に「食べることは生きること」というポジティブなメッセージが全編を通して流れており、読後感は非常に爽やかです。疲れた夜に、温かい料理を食べた後のような充足感を得られる作品といえるでしょう。
