Embark on a journey across the sea where a forbidden love blossoms, only to be cut short by societal constraints and the choke hold of traditions steeped in cultural pride and oppression.
Follow Yindja and Josephine as they create a love in the child Bebe, which sees them cursed, emprisoned, and pushed to the edge of redemption as they espouse the dichotomy of human nature in good and evil, triumph and defeat. This is the generational story that transcends all cultures and all ages to speak to the very nature of how human beings exist in a “civilized society” hell bent on normalizing the status quo, sexual abuse, and generational trauma.
Bebe Muke’ is one girl's humble beginnings to thwart the robes of oppression, take daring chances to break these yokes, and eventually come to change the world. Bebe Muke’ is part one of an incredible adventure that explores the faces of survival, the stain of colonialism, and the strength of the human spirit.
