Brian is here to help us break down the newest Hallmark Christmas movie, Melt My Heart This Christmas — a holiday romance filled with fire, snow, and some serious glassblowing drama.
ABOUT MELT MY HEART THIS CHRISTMASGlassblower Holly James gets a last-minute dream opportunity to assist her artistic idol at a famed Christmas market. But things don’t go smoothly when she’s met with the frosty disapproval of Jack DuBois, a talented but intimidating colleague. As the heat of the kiln rises, so does the tension — and maybe something more — as Holly tries to prove herself, find her artistic voice, and melt Jack’s icy exterior just in time for Christmas.

Holly is an aspiring glass blower… but she’s new. She’s green. She can’t get a booth at the big Christmas market. She shows up anyway, and the organizer, Jack, is like, “Why are you here?” She’s like, “Well, I applied this year, but—” Before she can finish, her idol Bianca Bonhomme walks by. She’s the featured artist this year, but her assistant just quit, so she tells Jack she has to back out. Jack jumps on the opportunity and asks Holly if she’ll be Bianca’s assistant in exchange for a spot in the emerging-artists booth. Holly says yes, and Bianca reluctantly agrees.
Holly is shocked to discover that Bianca isn’t using color anymore. It’s all clear glass, all the time.
A guy named Walter is there to get an interview with Bianca, but she’s not interested. Turns out, no one is into Bianca’s new pieces. But Holly’s? They’re selling out. Walter wants to interview this mysterious emerging artist known only as “Verre,” unaware that it’s actually Holly. Bianca overhears that Verre’s pieces are the hot item and becomes obsessed with finding out who she is.
Meanwhile, Jack and Holly start taking a liking to each other… but I’m sure it’s nothing.
Jack accidentally breaks one of Bianca’s pieces. Holly jumps in: “No worries, I can remake it.” They head to the hot shop, she whips up a perfect replacement, and they have a nice, romantic night.
Bianca starts to soften toward Holly and even shows her a secret project she’s been working on.
On the morning of the big showcase, it all comes to a head — everyone figures out Holly is Verre. Bianca yells at her, Walter and his team record the whole thing, and then Jack tells her to scram.
Holly later goes to apologize to Bianca and they make up. Bianca tells her she’s incredible, and they blow some glass together.
The next day, Bianca goes live on social media to reveal her new work and to promote Verre. Then Walter goes live to give Holly the “Seal of the Season.” There is… a lot of live streaming.
Bianca asks Holly to stay on as her assistant and promises to mentor her. And Jack shows up, apologizes, and they kissssss.
