The Great Deception of American Christianity" is all about the corrupt American Church today teaching a modern gospel that misleads people by giving them a false sense of security about salvation.

I was a worldly, lost, immoral man until I surrendered my life the Jesus in the privacy of my home in 1979 when I was 31 years old. Before that I had little knowledge or experience with the church world. After turning to the Lord I started going to church with a businessman who had shared the gospel with me. It was a full gospel church and was confusing to me so after several months I took my family to a Southern Baptist church. There I was told that I could still commit adultery like I used to and still go to heaven. I also realized that a lot of people in the church were living in sin. So after about a year I moved my family to Charismatic church. There we encountered more confusion as well as hearing so-called prophets whose words did not come true. We visited the Presbyterian church, went to tent meetings, visited the Church of Christ, and took a bible course at Kay Author's Reach Out Ranch. We also spent some time in a Pentecostal church with no better results. We went to special meetings here and there and even visited a home church. People gave us tapes on the prosperity gospel and books on salvation. The more we heard the more we were confused as to how all this could be Christian with so many different doctrines and traditions. So, in 1983 I bought a NASB bible, a concordance, a Greek dictionary, a Hebrew dictionary and an English dictionary. Then I quit church, brought my family home and began to spend all day on Sundays studying the scriptures to get clarity on the truth. Then after I studied a certain topic, I would meet with my family on Sunday evening and teach them what I was learning. I soon discovered that almost everything I had been taught by the church world was either false or only half true which makes it false. From there other people wanted to come and hear what I was learning, so we now had a home church. Later I was invited to speak at a Bible conference in Texas and then begin to travel and speak in different parts of the country on exposing the falsehoods of the church and teaching the truth about salvation. In 2015, I sold my auto repair business (of 43 years) and my used car dealership and started an accounting and tax service in my home. I continue to teach and serve a small body of believers and now do podcasts and YouTube videos to try and reach people with the truth. Thank you for considering me as a guest on your podcast.
