The Psychedelic Furs have been a staple in my musical diet for close to 40 years. I first met the guitarist John Ashton in 1992, then over the years at more gigs than I can count (*Really, it was all a blur). John is one of those guitar gods, who has written some of the best musical compositions in the New Wave genre, so many of them have gone down in history.

In this conversation, John told so many rich stories of the Rock & Roll Circus, many of which I was there when these moments occurred. A lot of which, though funny, (Spinal Tap like funny) they were not to be spoken of in this interview.

John has released a total gem of an album with his solo side project "Satellite Paradiso" which is a supergroup of his friends, borrowing Gail Ann Dorsey from Bowie, half of the personnel from the Psychedelic Furs, and on vocals Fred Schreck from "Ancients". This album has so many powerful songs on it, with an all star cast playing. One that everyone who listened to New Wave over the last 40 years should just dive into.
