In 2015, a father and his son were tent camping while hunting in South Central Colorado. Despite failed propane heaters due to high elevation, they stayed warm sharing a sleeping bag over their cots during a chilly night in the upper 20s, with a low-lit Coleman lantern hanging nearby for safety. Around midnight, the son woke his father to report heavy breathing outside the tent.
