The Sea-Witch is a short story by American writer Nictzin Dyalhis, first published in 1937 in the pulp magazine Weird Tales. The story is set on the North Atlantic coast, where the narrator encounters Heldra after a violent storm, describing her as a gloriously beautiful yet enigmatic figure who speaks of Norse mythology, such as the sea god Ran.
