Battle of Heisman contenders with Ty Simpson for Bama and Ahmad Hardy for Missouri. One team was exposed. And one player was exposed. Game showed who are contenders vs who are pretenders. Bama keeps it rolling. Ty Shines! Huge SEC road win for Bama DeBoer now 2-0 on the road this year. 5-1 overall and 3-0 in SEC at the turn/halfway point of season. Great first half of season. Rebounded after bad loss at FSU, but didn’t let it define team or ruin season. Coaches have coached better and players have played better after that first loss. Ty legitimate Heisman candidate. Ahmad Hardy not so much Alabama (No. 8) defeated Missouri (No. 14) 27-24 in a Week 7 road game on Saturday, October 11, 2025. Dijon Lee with Pick and played well Bray Hubbard with pick and played well other than getting juked by Pribula on edge on the short TD run. Grades Offense – B+ resiliency and did enough to win – Defense – B minus – Special Teams – B+ - Coaching – straight B – won on the road against a good team. Made adjustments and made the key plays to get a win. Things to clean up for players and for coaches. Good Ty Simpson Jam Miller - Bama offense overall – 3 for 3 on 4th down Defense after the first drive Run pass mix – 43 runs to 31 passes Penalties – 5-30 for Bama vs 4-45 for Mizzu Time of Poss – 38 to 22 for Bama Turnovers – 2 for Mizzou and 1 for Bama 3rd down 6 for 15 and 3 for 3 on 4th for Bama vs 1/10 on 3rd and 2/3 4th for Mizzou Bama 5-1 at halfway point. Bama 3-0 in SEC. Bama is 2-0 on the road in the SEC. Bad O-line Missed 49 yd FG Ty – sack, strip, fumble turnover – o-line and Grubb hung him out to dry on that play Ty – hanging on to ball too long sometimes when he should just throw it away. Ugly Right tackle in pass pro – getting burned by speed rushers Giving up too many sacks First Mizzou drive of the game and how defense got gashed – looked like how Defense played vs FSU Show plays on PP. I call this segment “Why???” Four bad plays that hurt Bama. Needs correcting.
