He is a Professor of Oncology and Public Health Sciences and Director of the Division of Cancer Care and Epidemiology at the Sinclair Cancer Research Institute. During 2014-2024 he held the Canada Research Chair in Population Cancer Care. In his clinical practice he provides care to patients with GI cancer.
