Stuart Cameron and Robin Purdie look back at last weekend's club rugby matches in Scotland and preview this week's games in the Premiership and National 2. Only 10 games happening due to the player welfare break for NL1 clubs.
This gives us the opportunity to put the spotlight on Rory Riddle, the Head Coach of Gordonians RFC who are the new kids on the block in NL1 having gained promotion from NL2 last season. Stuart went up to Aberdeen to talk to him about the club, which is now the top-ranked side in the north of Scotland and their tricky start to the season.
We also hear from Freddie Main of Oak & Black, who sponsor our Rugby Radio Man of the Match trophies every week. The former rugby player is also a top coach and runs Silver Fox Coaching for kids. It's a tremendous initiative and he talks to us about that, and how you can get involved to help support children who would like to benefit from his training camps.
At the end of the podcast, for listeners in the Borders area, a preview of this weekend's East League fixtures involving Borders teams.
