 Join me, my partner and our dog Pippa on our first autumn walk. As we set off from our wide beam boat home and down the towpath nestled between the river and a natural lake not far from the local town. Immerse yourself in the sounds of the gravel moving under our footsteps, the songbirds' tunes and chatty ducks. As we make our way to the woods, you'll be surrounded by the crunch of the newly fallen leaves and sticks breaking beneath our feet, complemented by a slight breeze and the rumble of distant aeroplanes coming in to land. Be calmed by the familiar noises of nature and energised by the bursts of sounds from the weir and wind. This first autumn walk of 2025 is perfect to fill the silence for relaxation, drifting off to sleep, white noise, and brown noise, focusing or feeling as though you are somewhere other than where you currently are.
