General Assembly in Manhattan, the U.S. Secret Service dismantled a massive hidden telecom network with over 100,000 SIM cards across New York, capable of crippling cell towers and jamming 911 calls. The network, spanning 35 miles around the United Nations, posed a significant threat to communication and emergency response. Investigators described it as one of the most extensive communications risks uncovered on U.S. soil. No group has been publicly linked to the network, and dismantling efforts continue.2. Costco recalled 3,315 pounds of Kirkland Signature Ahi Tuna Wasabi Poke sold in 33 states on September 18, 2025, due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination from green onions. The product, with item number 17193 and a sell-by date of September 22, 2025, poses risks to young children, the elderly, and immunocompromised individuals, though no illnesses have been reported, and Costco is notifying affected customers.3. Thousands were evacuated from northern Philippine villages, and schools and offices closed in the Philippines and Taiwan on Monday due to a powerful typhoon threatening floods and landslides. The storm, one of the year’s strongest, is headed toward southeastern China. Emergency measures are in place to protect residents in vulnerable areas.4. The National Hurricane Center is tracking Hurricane Gabrielle east of Bermuda and two tropical disturbances in the central Atlantic, with one having an 80% chance of development within seven days. The second, less organized system, located east of the Lesser Antilles, has a 50% chance of becoming a tropical depression later this week. Favorable conditions may lead to further development as it moves into the southwestern Atlantic. So let’s pray…Lord, We first thank you for the uncovering of the telecom threat in New York during the U.N. General Assembly. We pray for the safety of leaders and citizens, wisdom for investigators, and Your guidance to prevent chaos and harm. Lord, we lift up those affected by the Costco tuna recall, asking for health and protection from illness, and for diligence in ensuring safe food for all. Thank you that no illnessess have been reported thus far. For the people of the Philippines and Taiwan facing a powerful typhoon, we pray for Your shelter over evacuees, strength for rescue efforts, and provision for those at risk of floods and landslides. As Hurricane Gabrielle and potential storms loom in the Atlantic, we ask for Your calming hand over the seas, safety for communities, and wisdom for those preparing for impact. We ask all these things in your name, JesusAmenThank you for listening to News on Knees, a community prayer podcast by Story King Media.
