Stories, Threads and Magic from the life of Dennis C Merritt. I’ve always told stories that stuck with me, either because they’re funny, or ironic, or illustrate something or other, like the small plane almost crashing when I was skinny dipping with Alice or Mary dropping a cork on end. They’re the Stories in this book.
As I got older I began to see that my life had unfolded as if choreographed, with one thing leading naturally to another, such as how a caving couple's computer maps of Flint Ridge led to the first addictive computer game, and my career. These longer tales are the Threads.
Then there are events that are, in the words of Yogi Berra, just too coincidental to be coincidences, such as the surgically precise dog bite that connected me with the doctor I needed to find just when I needed to find him. They make up the Magic.
